With URLs for everything from activist organizations to youth resources, Jeff Dawson's site directory is a practically indispensable reference tool for the online gay or lesbian. (There's also an extensive section listing sites with transgender-themed material, although a similar section for bisexuals is curiously lacking.) Dawson also includes extended reviews of high-profile sites for organizations like PlanetOut, GLAAD, and Digital Queers, as well as smaller but intriguing groups like the Queer Skinhead Brotherhood. Chances are that if you poke around this book long enough, parts of it are going to end up in your browser's bookmarks file.

Why waste valuable seconds running a Google search when you could spend just hours reading this book? Jeff has clearly outdone himself with this latest offering. However, after reading this book I was confused as to where the information on the Chicago Bears was located. I went to several websites but could only find men who appear to enjoy the company of other men. Mr. Dawson clearly knows his stuff and his talents with man mustard seem to be beyond compare. This book has forced me to re-evaluate my life and lifestyle and, after doing so, it remains unchanged.

I don't understand the relationship between the content of this book and the Chicago Bears (mentioned on the cover)...this is the same Jeff Dawson who wrote all those Chicago Bears news articles? Otherwise, well written.

What fun can be had spending endless evenings typing in addresses of various Web sites that can no longer be found. If this is gay and lesbian life online, then we are extinct. Perhaps this reflects the changeable and flaky nature of gay culture, but the reader might be better off saving the money and doing a creative search, sans book. They will certainly come up with more than "Not Found"..."Not Found"..."Not Found."

While doing research for my book, I came across Gay and Lesbian Online quite by accident. Thinking that there might be some useful information in this book, I thought I would give it a try and hope for the best.Boy, I am glad I did! With technology changing the landscape of information gathering, this book is a must for the bisexual,gay,transgendered,and lesbian community and should be on every bookshelf across America! Kudos to Mr. Jeff Dawson!
