From the supplier: Reinsurance company executives spent more for business travel and lodging in 1991 than any other property and casualty insurance personnel classification. The 'National Underwriter' survey of insurance business travel found that reinsurance executives averaged 13 business trips and 37% of them reported 17 or more trips. Average costs for their individual trips totalled $1,082 and yearly outlay for hotels, meals and travel averaged $22,414. Trip costs averaged $14,853 for insurer executives; $14,051 for brokers; $11,195 for risk managers; $8,224 for agents and $6,920 for benefit managers.
