Very Disappointing - Returned October 25, 2008 I was very disappointed in this book, it was written in atlas form and the maps were of poor quality. I would be concerned about the accuracy the first and only item I looked at, Hill 488, was not accurate. With that said, the author did put a lot of work into the book.
Eccellent Resource Material August 31, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Good resource for research not perfect but as close as possible given the time lapse of the war/ very well written. based on memories, old reports. and factual details.

Very full, complete and fascinatingly comprehensive. A must for any history buff or writer of the Vietnam era. A treasure for those who have been their or for those who are interested in "where we were."

I have been researching fire bases and locations I served at in Vietnam in 1968 & 1969 and with the help of this book have found the locations of some areas I couldn't find before! What is amazing is it gives the grids of them to help you find the exact location along with facts about them. Although this might not have 100% of the locations, it is the best book I have bought in a long tme! Tom Hill 2nd Blt 4th Marines (Quang Tri) Combined Action Program CAP 127 (Chu Lai) RVN 68/69
Where we were in Vietnam January 7, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Very accurate accounting of every unit, where they were, battles fought. I also love the Grid coordinates's. They are very helpful for filing claims with the VA.The VA wants details and this book helps provide that sort of detailed information.
