Product Description
Mrs. Claus needs to get out of the house. The endless snow at the North Pole is getting her down. And she doesn't see why her husband should get all the travel time in the family. So she hitches up the reindeer and takes a world tour--leaving Santa to take care of himself (and the remaining reindeer) for the first time in a long time. Mrs. Claus loves traveling the globe . . . but she also misses Santa as much as Santa misses her. Will she be home in time for Christmas?

A New Christmas Tradition May 21, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I gave this book to my young cousins and neighbors for Christmas this past year, and it has been a big hit with all of them! Mrs. Claus Takes a Vacation is a beautiful book that tells a lovely and original story. The illustrations are very detailed and clever (it's fun to spot the reindeer) and introduce children to new places as well (Mrs. Claus eating sushi in Japan is particularly cute, and the Lithuanian folk dance spread is charming!). I highly recommend this book as a wonderful Christmas gift that is sure to be read year after year!
Not one we will read next year. January 12, 2007 0 out of 6 found this review helpful
After reading a review in the paper, I thought this would be a great book to read with my grandchildre at the holidays. It was just okey. Not one that I will save and read again.
A fun adventure in this different holiday story. December 10, 2006 Linas Alsenas' MRS. CLAUS TAKES A VACATION wonders why Santa's getting all the travel time while she stays at home in the North Pole. Her decision to let Santa prepare for the holidays alone promotes independence and a fun adventure in this different holiday story.
Cheers for Mrs. Claus November 2, 2006 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Charming pictures full of clever details, plus a glimpse of other cultures. The picture of the Taj Mahal is particularly beautiful!
